Sweatchi is a fitness and wellness app designed to support the wellness journeys of South Asian women through workouts, habit tracking, motivational content, and AI-powered coaching.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information when you use Sweatchi:

Account & Contact Information

Name

Email address

Wellness & App Input Data

Workout activity and history

Body metrics you choose to log (e.g., weight, height)

Photos you choose to upload

Chi AI Conversation Data

When you interact with Chi AI, we collect the content of those conversations to provide and improve the AI coaching experience. Please see Section 5 below for full details on how Chi AI data is processed.

Payment Information

Processed securely through:

Apple App Store

Google Play Store

Stripe Inc. (for certain services outside of in-app subscriptions)

We do not collect or store your full payment card details.

Device & Usage Information

Automatically collected for app performance and improvements, such as:

Device type, OS version, IP address

App usage analytics (screens visited, time spent, crashes)

Cookies or similar technologies on our website

Connected Services (Optional)

If you choose to connect Apple Health or Google Fit, data is accessed only after you grant permission. You can revoke access at any time in your device or app settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your Sweatchi account

Provide app features including tracking, personalized content, and program progress

Power Chi AI coaching interactions

Improve our app functionality and user experience

Process subscriptions and payments

Communicate updates, service messages, or support

Comply with applicable laws

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Ever.

Communications

We may use your contact information, such as your email address, to send you account-related messages, service updates, and, where permitted, marketing or promotional communications related to Sweatchi. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in our emails or by contacting us directly. We do not sell your contact information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

Sharing of Information

We may share your information with trusted service providers, app store platforms, AI infrastructure providers, or legal authorities only as necessary to operate the app, process purchases, or comply with the law. All partners are required to protect your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

A list of our current third-party service providers, including AI infrastructure providers, is set out in Section 5 below.

Your Choices & Controls

You are always in control of your data:

Update or delete personal profile data in the app

Manage subscription settings in your App Store account

Revoke access to Apple Health/Google Fit data

Request account deletion at any time by emailing us

When your account is deleted, associated personal data is removed except where retention is required for legal or financial reporting purposes.

Communications

We may use your email address to send account-related messages, service updates, and, where permitted, marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe option or by contacting us directly. We do not sell your contact information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

Chi AI and Third-Party AI Providers

Chi AI is Sweatchi's AI-powered wellness coaching assistant. To deliver Chi AI responses, your conversation inputs are processed by third-party AI infrastructure providers. Our current AI provider is:

Google LLC - Gemini API

By using Chi AI, you acknowledge that your conversation inputs will be transmitted to and processed by Google LLC to generate responses. We configure Chi AI to minimize exposure of sensitive data, but we recommend you do not share:

Sensitive medical records or clinical diagnoses

Financial information

Passwords or account credentials

Any information you would not want processed by a third-party AI system

Chi AI conversation data may be used by Sweatchi in aggregate, anonymized form to improve the feature. We do not use your individual conversation content for purposes unrelated to delivering the Chi AI service.

We may update our AI provider from time to time. This Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect any such changes.

Communications

Children’s Privacy

Sweatchi is not designed for anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Storage & Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard data, including:

Secure data transfer and encryption where appropriate

Access controls and authentication systems

While we work to protect your information, no system is completely secure.

International Users

Sweatchi is operated from Canada. If you access the app from outside Canada, your data may be processed in Canada and by our trusted service providers in other regions, including by AI infrastructure providers operating in the United States. By using Sweatchi, you consent to this transfer of data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our AI features or third-party providers. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of Sweatchi after an updated Policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.
